Alberta - Canada
This is the official immigration website run by the Government of Alberta, Canada. It contains vital information and is a very good resource for anyone considering either immigrating, visiting, or looking for temporary employment opportunities in Alberta.

Alberta Human Rights & Citizenship Commission
Through the provisions outlined in the Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act, the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission follows a two-fold mandate: to foster equality, and reduce discrimination for Albertans. The Commission fulfills this mandate through public education initiatives and the investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination.

Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)
Alberta's largest union, representing more than 63,000 Albertans who work for the provincial government, public, private and not-for-profit health care employers, educational facilities, boards and agencies, municipalities and private companies.

Canadian Evaluation Society (CES)
A Canada-wide non-profit bilingual association dedicated to the advancement of evaluation theory and practice.

Capital Region Housing Corporation (CHRC)
CRHC provides affordable housing in the Alberta Capital Region. In addition, CRHC provides professional housing/asset management to applicants, tenants, program funders, and property owners; program administration for a number of rental-subsidy & support programs; develops/purchases housing units to provide affordable housing to meet the needs of the Alberta Capital Region.

Centre d'Accueil Edmonton
For French-speaking immigrants & newcomers. This agency offers a wide range of settlement services and is as excellent resource for French-speaking arrivals.

Centre for Race and Culture (formerly NAARR)
CRC’s mission is to work toward the goals of eliminating racism, racial discrimination, and racially motivated violence in northern Alberta. Through research, education, policy, and program development we will promote and
support individual, collective, and systemic changes.

Changing Together: A Centre for Immigrant Women
Founded in 1984, Changing Together is a nonprofit, charitable organization operated by immigrant women for immigrant women. Our mission is to help Edmonton and area immigrant women and their families overcome personal and systemic barriers that keep them from participating fully in Canadian Society.

Community Learning Network (CLN)
A provincial not-for-profit organization that provides support, professional development, resources and networking opportunities to Alberta's 83 Community Adult Learning Councils and their staff.

Democratic Renewal Project (DRP)
A grassroots coalition aimed at renewing democracy across the province of Alberta and putting an end to one-party rule. Our intent is to elect a new government that unites the Alberta Liberals, Alberta New Democrats, Alberta Greens, truly progressive Tories and independents.

Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (ECVO)
A charitable organization dedicated to providing leadership and mobilizing the collective resources of the voluntary sector, to enhance programs, services, operations and governance of not-for-profit organizations in the Edmonton region.

Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association (ECALA)
A funder of non-credit, non-profit adult education within Edmonton’s corporate limits. ECALA is funded by Advanced Education and are part of the Community Adult Learning Council network - 83 exists across the province.

Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers (EMCN)
A community agency that seeks to assist immigrants and refugees, coming to the Edmonton area, achieve full participation in the community, contributing their experiences and skills to strengthen and enrich the lives of all Canadians.

Edmonton Multicultural Coalition for Equity in Health & Well Being
A non-profit organization of community leaders & members from ethnic minority communities in Edmonton, who share a common vision of the future of immigrants and refugees in Canada. Visit our website for further details.

Edmonton Public Library (EPL)
Connecting the people of Edmonton to the knowledge and cultures of the world.

Multicultural Health Brokers Co-operative (MCHB Co-op)
Supports immigrant and refugee individuals and families in attaining optimum health through relevant health education, community development and advocacy support.

Northern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association (NACHA)
A federation of Housing Co-operatives. We provide a variety of services to our membership and to the public at-large interested in finding out more about cooperative housing in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

Pride Centre of Edmonton
Coordinates and provides health care and social support services for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender persons, their families and their communities. In addition, it educates the public by offering programs and seminars related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues and by collecting/disseminating information on the topic to the general community.

Public Interest Alberta (PIA)
A province-wide organization focused on education and advocacy on public interest issues. PIA exists to foster in Albertans an understanding of the importance of public services, institutions and spaces in Albertans' lives, and to build a network of organizations and individuals committed to advancing the public interest.

Vibrant Communities Edmonton
Part of a national initiative that links 16 communities across Canada. Together, we are sharing experiences & resources to improve the quality of life for people in Canada.
